Mid-term Meeting in Ljubljana

Ljubljana, 25-27 August 2026
The first in-person meeting of the Erasmus+ Sport project JUDO4CO (Judo for Children with Obesity) was held in Ljubljana, Slovenia, from August 25-27, 2026.

Key Highlights:

Project Purpose: The project aims to use judo as a tool to support children with weight issues, promoting movement, health, confidence, and inclusion.

Slovenian Pilot Project: Partners learned about the successful pilot program at the Children’s Hospital Šentvid pri Stični.

The program features a multidisciplinary approach (judo, psychology, nutrition) within 14-day hospital stays.

Judo activities are adapted to be fun and safe, focusing on basic skills, balance, and building confidence.

Mirror Projects: Partners from Italy, and Romania presented their own local projects. Common challenges include reaching families and ensuring long-term participation, but all are making progress in building networks with medical professionals and institutions.

Next Steps: The meeting was a crucial step for sharing strategies and strengthening the partnership, with all partners committed to developing their local projects.
