I am from Judo club Bežigrad in Ljubljana, Slovenia, where I have been working for more than 20 years as a club secretary and coach, mainly with younger age groups. So far in my coaching career, I have worked primarily with children and young athletes aged 6 to 16 at Judo Club Bežigrad and Mala šola juda, where I am actively involved in the implementation of judo programs in schools. My work focuses on the overall development of children, introducing them to judo while creating a positive, inclusive, and motivating environment for young judokas.
I hold the rank of 4th DAN and, in addition to my coaching activities, I am also involved at the international level as a member of the International Judo Federation (IJF) IT team.
In recent years, an important part of my coaching work has been dedicated to working with children with special needs, using adapted judo activities to promote inclusion, personal development, and equal opportunities through sport.
I’m looking forward to participating in this new Erasmus+ project – JUDO4CO, where I am mainly responsible for training activities, training programs, and where I’m also a member of the project coordination group. I strongly believe that this project will contribute positively to the development of judo and sport in general, as well as create long-term benefits for children with obesity.
