JUDO4CO – Innovative Erasmus+ Program for Children with Obesity

My name is Henk de Vries, and I have been a judo trainer since 1985. Over the years, I have also served as chairman of several Dutch judo clubs, including Judo Vereniging IJsselmeer, Budokai Texel and—up to the present—the Special Needs Judo Foundation. I have contributed to judo training guides and organized the annual Judo Festival Texel. For the past ten years, I have also been co‑organizer and fundraiser for the largest international judo event for special needs judoka in the world.
Beyond judo, I have a background in education management. From 1992 to 2013, I served as a school rector and contributed to various educational boards. I studied geography and economics at VL‑VU Amsterdam and completed additional training in financial management. Within JUDO4CO, I am a member of the coordination group and chair of both the Steering Group and the Financial Audit Committee.
